Biography

Naime Fonti, 1997, Ticino, textile design at CSIA (Centro Scolastico Industrie Artistiche), Lugano.

In her work Naime has thematized female pain in artistic weaving works based on the biography of Frida Kahlo. Another project took shape on the presumed mnemonic capacity of water molecules, inspired by the experiments of the pseudo-scientist Masaru Emoto.

After her training as a weaver, Naime attended workshops in the art of goldsmithing in Bern (NEUNvonSIEBEN studio) and in Zurich (Lesunja Fine Jewellery studio).
